How to set up your Toncoin(TON) wallet: Is MetaMask an Option?

To use or invest in Toncoin (TON), setting up a Toncoin wallet is very important. TON operates on its decentralised blockchain network with its native crypto, Toncoin. Although Toncoin primarily operates on its blockchain, it also has a wrapped version of the Toncoin available on the Ethereum network, which can be bridged through the Ton bridge.

The TON blockchain has its wallet designed specifically for interacting with the TON network. However, if users prefer to use MetaMask, they can use the wrapped version of Toncoin (WTON) on the Ethereum network.

Users can bridge Toncoin between the Ethereum network and the TON network for smooth transactions with the Ton bridge.

This guide will walk you through setting up your Toncoin (TON) wallet on the TON blockchain.

1. Go to OpenMask  https://www.openmask.app/           

       2.  Click the download for Chrome button             

      3.  Click the Add to Chrome button           

      4. Click the OpenMask Icon in your browser          

      5.  Click the Create Wallet button             

       6. Input New Password and Confirm the password             

       7.  Click the Create button             

       8. Copy your Secret Recovery Phrase, save it and never share it with anyone. Click the Create button.          

        9. Confirm your Secret Recovery Phrase            

        10. Enter your password and unlock your wallet
